Introduction to Woodworking Class - Colorful Candle Holders on Sunday May 20
Hosted by Clare Fox and Wayne Maki, from Mutual Adoration.
Sunday May 20th from 1 to 3:30pm
Learn basic woodworking skills while creating a functional and beautiful candle holder. This class offers a general overview of wood crafting while we share some fun, creative times with friends and community!
During this make & take workshop, Clare and Wayne will walk you through a project using reclaimed wood. We will plan the projects, select the wood and then cut, sand, drill, paint, stain, and finish wooden planks to create tea light candle holders.
You will leave with your choice of individual blocks or a single long board made to hold 5 candles. These make great centerpieces on a dining table or sitting atop a mantle.
- No experience necessary.
- This class is open to ages 14+
- All materials are provided.
- Refreshments will be served.
Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting a little bit dirty. Sawdust, paint, and wood stain don't mix well with designer threads! Work gloves and safety glasses will be provided.
