Paper Marbling on Sunday February 25
Learn how to create beautiful, colorful marbled paper.
Hosted by Christine Darragh, from Dark Oak Bindery
Sunday February 25th from 3 to 5pm
Paper marbling is an age-old printing process, where ink is floated on a viscous water surface then printed onto treated paper or cloth. Traditionally, marbled paper was used for book covers, end papers, calligraphy and stationery. Preparing a surface can be meditative and calming. Class participants will work individually or in pairs to prepare prints and pull their own designs, as we discover this simple yet nuanced medium. Everyone will go home with original 3-5 prints.
