TEXTILE TAKEOVER! Introduction to Felting: Essential Wool Bead Jewelry on Saturday August 25

Workshop #2 during our Textile Takeover Weekend!

Saturday August 25th from 3 to 5pm

Join us during our weekend of celebrating the beauty of textiles & fiber arts!

Curious to learn about felting? This will be a fun class for dipping your fingers into some wool and creating small, beautiful, wearable pieces! Perfect for beginners.

During this 2 hour make & take workshop, Patty will be teaching the basic techniques of creating forms by wet felting with colorful wool. The beads made of wool can be treated with essential oils and worn as necklaces or bracelets. All felting materials and macrame cord along with small beads will be provided. Everyone will create and take home a unique piece of jewelry.

Write a blessing for the earth and wrap it with intention to create a wearable essential oil diffuser. Learn simple techniques for creating colorful wool beads and macramé cords for a necklace or bracelet. All materials provided. No experience needed, beginners welcome.

About the instructor:

Patty Urda is a fiber artist and soon-to-be certified Waldorf Handwork teacher. She enjoys wet felting, tile making, dog walking, story telling, lacrosse stitch, and watercolor kayaking.

POST Workshop Rules:

Please arrive on time or a little early to settle in and look around before the class begins.

All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to the workshop. POST assumes no liability for accidents or injuries. Create at your own risk.

Please let us know if you have a need for any accommodations that we can plan for in advance; including special needs, severe allergies, and/or making the space functional for those with physical limitations, etc. Our goal is to make our space open, safe, and inviting to all.

 

Cancellation Policy:

Please note that workshop registrations are not refundable. If you need to cancel, you must do so 7 days prior to the workshop in order to receive a POST credit for another workshop on our schedule. Space is limited and the classes are carefully planned to accommodate a certain number of attendees. Due to the cost of purchasing and preparing materials, we are unable to offer full refunds. Your spot may be transferred to a friend though - just call and let us know if someone will be taking your spot.

In the event of low registration, workshops may be cancelled by POST 2 days prior to the class. In the case of a cancellation, we will contact all participants with the option of rescheduling or a full refund.
